Marion County, WV — August 19, 2024 — The Marion County Public Library System (MCPLS) Foundation is excited to announce our first-ever After Hours Fundraiser, set to take place on September 10, 2024. This special event will take place at the Marion County Public Library, promising a memorable night of community spirit and support for a great cause.

  • Location: Marion County Public Library, 321 Monroe Street, Fairmont, WV

What to Expect:

The event will be filled with food, drink, and fun, and will also kick off MCPLS’ first community-wide read! Each attendee will be able to enjoy delicious appetizers and will receive a drink ticket for the bar. In addition, attendees will receive a gift bag, which will include a copy of the book for the community-wide read! The night will be filled with activities, including a photo booth, blind date with a book, and raffle baskets.

The MCPLS Foundation is dedicated to supporting literacy, encouraging lifelong learning, and crafting contemporary library spaces that radiate warmth, innovation, and inclusivity. This fundraiser will raise money for the foundation’s general fund as it works to support MCPLS’ mission of serving the educational, cultural, informational, and recreational needs of the Marion County community.
