Donate to the Library

The Marion County Public Library System is always grateful for support, whether it comes in the form of a financial donation, donation of materials, or donation of time as a volunteer.

Thank you for your interest in supporting your library!

To request information about making a financial donation, contact the interim library system director, Larissa Cason, at 304-366-1210.

If you would like to donate library materials (books, CDs, DVDs, etc.) please contact the manager of your local branch library, or call the system Acquisitions Manager at 304-366-1210.  Please keep in mind that some donations may not be selected for inclusion in our collection.  However, these donations can still benefit the library by being sold at our Friends of the Library book sales.  The library does not accept the following:  encyclopedias, textbooks, audiocassettes, videocassettes, magazines (including National Geographic), or materials in poor condition.

To learn more about donating your time to the library, please read our Volunteering page.  You’ll need to contact the manager of the Mannington or Fairview branch libraries or the volunteer coordinator at the Marion County Public Library in Fairmont.

You can also volunteer your time to the library by becoming a Friend of the Library.

Friends of the Library organizations in Mannington, Fairview and Fairmont meet on a regular basis and provide financial support to the library branches through their fundraising efforts, including book sales.  Please contact your local Branch Manager or Library Director for more information.
