The Marion County Public Library System offers FREE access to the popular online craft database Creativebug!

Enjoy unlimited access to thousands of online art and craft class videos for all skill levels, complete with downloadable patterns, templates, and recipes. The easy to navigate website features classes on topics in art and design, sewing, paperwork, holidays and parties, knitting and crochet, quilting, jewelry, and more!

Users can browse by skill difficulty levels, quick or multi-part classes, specialty techniques, or even to find video tutorials that are best suited for children.

    • Getting started is easy! To ensure you benefit from the Library’s free access, be sure to sign up for Creativebug through our website by visiting mcpls.org/education. To sign up, click the Log In button. When prompted, simply enter your library card number to create an account and start learning
  • How much does Creativebug access cost?
    • While CreativeBug access normally costs money, all you need to get FREE access to Creativebug’s wealth of inspiration and knowledge is your library card.
  • Can I access Creativebug from home?
    • You can access CreativeBug from anywhere you have a computer, speakers, and an internet connection. Just make sure to start your visit through mcpls.org/education to get free access.
  • What tech capabilities do I need?
    • To access Creativebug, you’ll need a PC, laptop, or mobile device with a fast internet connection (3G, 4G, or broadband) and an up-to-date web browser.
  • Are classes timed?
    • The great thing about Creativebug is that you can work at your own pace and around your schedule.
  • What if I don’t have a library card?
    • If you don’t yet have a MCPLS library card, you can either stop by one of our branches with your State of WV photo ID for instant access, or fill out a library card application through the Marion County Public Library mobile app. Applications received through the mobile app will be processed virtually and a library card will be mailed to your home.
