Curbside Pick Up

Beginning Monday, June 1, 2020, we will resume offering remote pick up at all of our branches. Please contact your branch (phone numbers listed below) or send us a message with any questions or concerns.⁠

Reminder: continue to practice social distancing for your safety and the safety of our staff⁠. Masks are strongly recommended.

1) Place your hold through the MCPLS app, website, or by phone. Warning: holds may not be available instantly⁠
2) Wait until you receive your “arrived hold” email or phone call⁠
3) Head to the library during the hours listed below⁠
4) Call us when you arrive⁠

⁠Note: You MUST display your library card or a photo ID that matches the library card account in order to pick up holds. If you have previously named another person on your account who can pick up holds, they must have their ID.

Phone numbers and pick up information for each branch:⁠

  • Fairmont: 304-366-1210, extension 111⁠
    Monday-Friday: 9 am – 6 pm⁠, Saturday 9 am-2 pm
    The Fairmont branch will deliver bagged materials to the trunk of a patron’s car.
  • Fairview: 304-449-1021⁠
    Monday-Thursday: 10 am – 5 pm, Friday-Saturday: 9 am – 1 pm⁠
    The Fairview branch will place a table in its building foyer so that items that are bagged and labeled may be picked up by patrons.
  • Mannington: 304-986-2803⁠
    Monday: 9 am – 6 pm, Tuesday-Friday: 9 am – 5 pm,  Saturday: 9 am – 1 pm⁠
    The Mannington branch will place a table inside its building near the front door. This area will be roped off.

Increased Holds Limit

Due to COVID-19, we are temporarily increasing the number of holds that Marion County Public Library card holders can place. MCPLS card holders will now be able to place up to 20 items on hold at a time, to help accommodate our curbside pick up program. Please let your branch know if you need assistance placing a hold.
