Seusscical Sensational Fun

Oh the things you can think!  Celebrate the birthday of one of the most beloved children’s book author, Dr. Seuss. The Marion County Public Library will have whimsical Seuss fun with a featured Seuss puppet show!  Crafts, coloring, treats and fun for all.  The fun all starts at 1pm, Saturday March 2nd. The Seuss puppet show will begin at 2pm.  Joins us for some Seusscical Sensational Fun!

 

Tuesday Nite Knitters

Bust out your yarn and join Fairview Public Library's weekly knitting club! Tuesday Nite Knitters meet every Tuesday at the library from 5-7pm.

Teen Library Council

Marion County Public Library's TLC will hold its second meeting on March 28th at 4:30pm. We will discuss ideas for May programs, upcoming volunteer opportunities, and vote on books to add to the library’s collection. Snacks will be served. We hope to see you there!

TTW Crafternoon

What do you do with old technology? Upcycle it! Join Marion County Public Library for a fun-filled crafternoon on March 16th @ 1:00pm; we will transform useless cassettes into unique wallets. This program is open to all teens in grades 6-12. Registration is required, call or visit the library to sign up.

TTW Library Meme Contest

Love Grumpy Cat and other hilarious memes? Make your own library or book –themed meme and enter it into Marion County Public Library's meme contest.  The meme that makes our board of judges LOL the most will be made into a poster and displayed in the library lobby.

Teen Tech Week

March 11-16th is Teen Tech Week and Marion County Public Library invites teens to check in and check out the library! We’re raffling off an MP3 player. Every book you check out from MCPL equals one raffle ticket – the more books you check out, the more chances you get to win! The drawing will take place on March 18th. The raffle is open to teens in grades 6-12.

What Do You Know About That?

Fairview Public Library's monthly trivia competition, “What Do You Know about That?,” continues on March 28th at 3 p.m. with even more pop culture, sports, and current events topics to tease your brain.  A prize will again be awarded to the individual with the top score.  Patrons ages 14-up are eligible to participate.

Health & Wellness with Herbs

Fairview Public Library's very own Kitty Hinkle will be discussing the importance of natural, healing herbs in a health and wellness program on Tuesday, March 26th, from  5 p.m. –   6 p.m in the library. 

Gardening Q&A

On Saturday, March 16th  , from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Fairview local Dorothy Hood will share her vast knowledge of plants, gardening, and even soil richness in a gardening Q&A program that is open to the community. This event takes place at the Fairview Public Library.

Movie for a Tuesday Evening

Adults will  be able to enjoy a March movie at the Fairview Public Library on Tuesday, March 12th at 4:30 p.m.  With the weather warming up, movies for adult patrons have been moved from the Saturday morning slot to a Tuesday evening slot.  This month’s feature is The Dark Knight Rises.  Patrons ages 14-up are invited to attend, but registration is required.  Call or visit the library to sign up today.
