Kids' Summer Reading Sessions

It’s that time of year again!  Summer is here, and the Summer Reading Program gets underway at the Fairview Public Library.  Mrs. Alicia’s children’s groups, ages 2-5 and 5-9, will explore “Fizz, Boom, Read!” over five weeks beginning June 11th with the science-filled themes of “R U Curious?,” “Fizz, Boom, Pop!,” and “Science and the Arts.”

Teen Summer Reading Sessions

Mrs. Linda’s teen group begins its “Spark a Reaction” four-week session on June 9th; patrons ages 10-up are invited to join her for hot topics such as “The Eyes Have It,” “Dead and Loving It,” and “Fire It Up!”

Mannington Summer Reading Registration

Summer Reading Programs at Mannington Public Library will begin on June 9, with registration taking place all day.

Mad Science of West Virginia will be here to kick off “Fizz, Boom, Read,” our K-4 & Pre-K summer reading program at 5:30, June 9. Mad Scientists promise to entertain and amaze children with interactive science activities.

Free Comic Book Day

It’s that time again super hero fans. FREE COMIC BOOK DAY has arrived at Marion County Public Library!  Saturday May 3rd will be our annual spring fun event.  This year, the web slinger will be back.  Be sure to catch Spiderman for a photo opportunity as he visits the library from 1-3pm.  Pick up your free comic book, coloring sheets and other fun delights as we celebrate the magic of comic books.

Teen Chess Club

Put on your best tuxedo t-shirt, this month the Teen Chess Club is celebrating prom! We will meet May 24th, 10:00am - 2:00pm at the Marion County Public Library.
