March roars into the Fairview Public Library with the beginning of another semester of Toddler Time, Circle Time, and Story Hour. Beginning the week of March 3rd Mrs. Alicia will be providing stories, crafts, games, and snacks each week based on the themes of “Mardi Gras Party,” “Going Green,” “Buzz into Spring,” and “Read S’more Books.”
Throughout the month be sure to put in your best guess at the Fairview Public Library circulation desk during our “Go for the Gold” guessing game.
Fairview Public Library's Juvenile Patron Appreciation monthly drawing begins on March 1st, giving children an opportunity to win a prize bag each time they use to their library card to check out books.
Circle Time 1 Schedule:
Join the Marion County Public Library on February 22nd, from 1:00 - 3:00pm, for paper plate ice-skating fun. Coloring, activity sheets, and a craft will serve up Olympic-sized fun. A Wii winter tournament will take place at 2:00pm, featuring the Mountain Sports. Children can sign-up for the tournament starting at 12:00pm that day.
In honor of the sweetest month of the year, the Marion County Public Library is holding a Blind Date with a Book drawing all month long. Stop in at the library in February and pick up one of our secret selections wrapped in Valentine hearts. Take it home, unwrap it, read it, and complete the review card inside. Bring the review card back to us and you'll be entered into a drawing for a Date Night basket at the end of the month. The more Blind Dates you go on, the more chances you have to win!
Teens, this February the Marion County Public Library mustache you to read! All month we will have BINGO cards available at our special display in the lobby. Grab a card and read one book from the genre listed to mark off a square, do that five times in a row to make BINGO! Fill out the information on the back of your completed card and drop it into the drawing box. At the end of the month, we’ll hold a drawing for a Barnes & Noble gift card. The more BINGO cards you complete, the more chances you have to win!
Trivia buffs can join the Fairview Public Library on February 27th from 9 am – 4 pm for our monthly contest, “What Do You Know about That?” Patrons ages 14-up are eligible to participate, and the patron with the most correct answers wins a prize!
