Teen Library Council
MCPL’s Teen Library Council will meet May 28th at 5:00pm to discuss Summer Reading, vote on a logo, and –of course- snack. TLC is open to all teens in grades 6-12.
Free Comic Book Day
Saturday, May 4th is Free Comic Book Day and the Marion County Public Library is celebrating! There will be coloring, activities, and - of course- free comic books! From 1pm - 3pm, Captain America will be at the library to meet with fans. And you don't want to miss the surprise, BIG balloon creation that Balloons by Michelle has in store!
Color Your World with Reading
Children can also participate in another coloring workshop at Fairview Public Library by “Coloring Your World with Reading.”
What Do You Know About That?
Fairview Public Library's monthly trivia competition, “What Do You Know about That?,” continues on May 30 at 3 p.m. with more pop culture, sports, and history topics to test your knowledge. A prize will be awarded to the individual with the top score. Patrons ages 14-up are eligible to participate.
Children's Spring Program Finale
Fairview Public Library's spring programs finale will be presented by the WV Raptor Association on Thursday, May 23, at the Fairview Town Hall.
WVDELI & eReader Training
For those of you looking to increase your ebook experience, Virtual Branch Manager, Michelle Ross, will be presenting a tutorial on WVDELI and ereader use at Fairview Public Library on Tuesday, May 21, at 4 pm. We hope to see you there!
Summer Reading & Cook-a-Book Registration Begins
Registration for Summer Reading and Cook-a-Book at Fairview Public Library begins on May 20. Sign-up is required for these programs so register early as space is limited!
After School Movie
On Tuesday, May 14, Mrs. Alicia will be showing her final after school movie at Fairview Public Library.
Movie for a Tuesday Evening
Patrons ages 14-up can enjoy a “Movie for a Tuesday Evening” at the Fairview Public Library on May 7 at 4:30 pm.
Books-and-More Bingo
Beginning May 6 and concluding on May 29, patrons can sign up for “Books-and-More Bingo" at the Fairview Public Library. Each participant will receive a bingo card featuring various item library items. As these items are checked out, a corresponding bingo space will be stamped. As patrons complete a “bingo,” they will receive a prize. Stop by the library for complete details and join the fun!
