International Games Day @ Your Library

Help Marion County Public Library celebrate International Games Day on November 16th. We will have board games, puzzles, and activities for the whole family throughout the day. From 12 - 3pm, we will have the Wii on and invite kids and teens to play Just Dance. 

Teen Trivia

Teen Trivia has been moved from Tuesdays to Wednesdays starting on November 20th at 4:30pm. 

Awesome Readers' Club

Since October's meeting was cancelled, the Awesome Readers' Club will discuss Emily the Strange: The Lost Day at the November meeting.

Chess Club

Teen Chess Club continues on November 2nd , from 10:00am – 2:00pm. 

Crafternoon

Hey teens, we’re turning Marion County Public Library into our own laboratory and you get to be the mad scientist! We’ll be taking apart stuffed animals and combining them to make hybrid stuffed animals on November 4th at 4:30pm. Bring a few older stuffed animals and be prepared to swap. Registration is required. 

Author Meet & Greet

Join us Saturday, November 2nd from 11:00-1:00 p.m. as we welcome WV native Joan Williamson Higgs, author of One Moment. Higgs is a retired English and Drama teacher, earned her B.A. from FSU, and her Master’s from various institutions including Cambridge University in Cambridge, England.

Adult Craft Class

It’s holiday time, and that means great food, family, friends, and great decorations. Join our adult craft classTuesday, November 19th at 4:00 p.m. when we will be making glitter pumpkins to decorate your Thanksgiving table. Space is limited so call the library at 304-366-1210 today to sign up.

Awesome Readers' Club

The Awesome Readers' Club will meet October 21st, 5:00pm at the Marion County Public Library to discuss Emily the Strange: The Lost Days.  

UFO & Cryptozoology Presentation

To finish off Teen Read Week, we will have a special presentation on UFOs and cryptozoology by Fred Saluga. Fred teaches classes on UFOs and cryptozoology at the Eastern Gateway Community College in Stuebenville, Ohio. Fred is the Director of West Virginia MUFON and a State Regional Director in Pennsylvania.

Take It and Make It Craft

Teens who visit MCPL during Teen Read Week can sign-up for a take-home edible book craft. This nifty, little kit will have everything you need to make a delicious book snack. Sign up at the circulation desk. One kit per person, while supplies last.
