The Awesome Readers' Club will meet October 21st, 5:00pm at the Marion County Public Library to discuss Emily the Strange: The Lost Days.
To finish off Teen Read Week, we will have a special presentation on UFOs and cryptozoology by Fred Saluga. Fred teaches classes on UFOs and cryptozoology at the Eastern Gateway Community College in Stuebenville, Ohio. Fred is the Director of West Virginia MUFON and a State Regional Director in Pennsylvania.
Teens who visit MCPL during Teen Read Week can sign-up for a take-home edible book craft. This nifty, little kit will have everything you need to make a delicious book snack. Sign up at the circulation desk. One kit per person, while supplies last.
Book It! will meet at the Literacy Volunteers classroom to discuss Healing Hearts by Kathy E. Magliato.
Monthly Adult Craft Class at Marion County Public Library will meet to make a harvest banner. No supplies needed, advanced sign-up required.

Teens in grades 6-12 can enter our Spooky Short Story contest. Entries should be 1-2 pages long; turn them in at the library from October 1- 16 for a chance to win a $25 iTunes Gift Card.
The Friends of Marion County Public Library will hold their annual meeting on Sunday, September 15th at 2:00pm. West Virginia author, Patricia Harman, will be the guest speaker. Patricia is the author of popular titles, like: The Midwife of Hope River, The Blue Cotton Gown, and Arms Wide Ope. Patricia has spent over thirty years caring for women in the field of midwifery. She has a beautiful way with words and writes the stories of herself and others. Please join us for a delightful afternoon.
