What time is it? Story Time! Join our MCPLS libraries as our story time spring sessions begin.

With mutliple branches to choose from, we're sure to have everything you need.  For your convenience, here is a brief view of our hours.  You can return your library materials to any of these locations, at our bookdrop at the Middletown Mall (inside, near Subway), at our Bookmobile, or at Fairmont State University's library. 

Each branch of the Marion County Public Library System has its own Friends of the Library group. Friends support their local branches through volunteering, outreach, and fundraisers. The Marion County Public Library Friends group hold monthly booksales, and The Mannington Public LIbrary Friends have a staffed book sale room open every Friday from 9:00-4:00 p.m. New members are always welcome.

Board of Trustees

The Marion County Public Library is comprised of five Board of Trustees from around the county.  Each Trustee is responsible for the financial well fare and betterment of library services for our communities.  If you are interested in serving on the Marion County Public Library Board, and for qualifying information, please contact the Library Director.

You are invited to join our team of volunteers! Whether you are a student (age 12 or older) or adult, employed or retired, you will be a welcome addition to our library team. The Marion County Public Library System has many opportunities for you to share your skills, experience, time and energy.
Volunteers provide much-needed services at our branch libraries. These services vary by the volunteer’s personal interest and the branch library’s need. Volunteer opportunities may involve:

The Marion County Public Library Board of Trustees approves a variety of policies and rules related to the library district and its services. Some of our most-referenced policies are listed below; please inquire at your local branch library if you have questions.
 

Closures are approved by our Board of Trustees and include full closures for holidays and staff work days as well as early closures.
